Our family of 6 absolutely love this game! We have it in our caravan for wet weather days, and itās perfect for all ages (our kids are aged between 2-10). Our older child loved helping with the rules and involving the younger kids. Even our 3 year old had a go and couldnāt stop laughing at what we were able to create using our imaginations. Itās perfect for all ages and skill levels - even hubby and I played along and had a giggle with the kids and how creative they could be. Well done team, a perfect screen free game for all ages xxx
Iām guilty of letting the kids have way too much screen time. This week, we tried DROAR: The Fast-Paced Drawing Game by Blueberry Co - and we ended up spending HOURS doodling and laughing⦠with zero screens involved. And that felt pretty amazing.
Why I love ā¤ļø it: (1) DROAR is chaotic, hilarious, and fun. Every player picks a character card, then you flip a challenge card and roll the dice to reveal your weird drawing prompt. From there - start doodling! The results are absolutely wild. We ended up creating things like a scary parrot, a Halloween-themed monkey, and a rabbit with outrageous hairstyle. It feels like AI image generation - except itās real humans creating the madness, and the results are even cuter. The best part? Nobody cares whether youāre actually āgoodā at drawing.
(2) The replayability is HUGE. There are 70 character cards featuring everything from land animals, reptiles, insects, and marine creatures to unicorns, mermaids, dragons, astronauts, wizards, and even dinosaurs. Every card includes a cute illustration to spark ideas. Then come the challenge cards: 10 cards with 6 prompts each, giving you 60 different drawing challenges. You might have to draw your character wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, turn them into a balloon animal, or draw using one single continuous line (which is WAY harder than it sounds). The combinations feel almost endless!
(3) Most importantly: thereās no winner - just fun. Which, as a parent, I LOVE. Whenever the kids asked me to judge whose drawing was ābest,ā I could simply point to the rules. Thereās also an optional 60-second timer if you want fast-paced chaos, or you can ignore it and enjoy a calmer drawing session at your own pace.
(4) The components are beautifully done. The cards are thick, colourful, and sturdy, and the game includes a dice, a sand timer, a small notepad, and four mini pencils. We personally preferred using larger paper for our masterpieces, but the included supplies are a lovely touch. Everything packs neatly into a compact little box too, which makes it perfect for travel, cafes, holidays.
We absolutely love this game. Everyone got involved and the pictures that came out were hysterical. We ended up playing for over an hour as the kids kept saying 'one more! one more!' If you want a good belly laugh, get the whole family Droaring.
So fun! I bought it thinking my drawing-loving daughter would enjoy it but actually her younger brother (5) is the one asking to play it all the time! I love the creativity of the game and the cute characters. Most of the time we choose our own challenges rather then rolling the die, so it's easy to adapt as needed.
